Project Brief:

This project was concerned with the partial design and full supply and installation of a Mitsubishi VRF system with energy efficient heat recovery AHU’s in the new Learning Centre of the V&A museum.

The system comprised of ten fan coil units with four heat recovery AHU’s providing fresh air through the air conditioning units. A centralised touch screen controller was installed to maximise energy saving potential and ensure temperature synergy between fresh air supply and the air conditioning.

Inevitably working within the operational Grade 1 listed building there were complex obstacles to overcome with regards to the piping routes, locations and suspension of services and units. With careful planning and constructive ideas from Nationwide’s and V&A’s project teams these were resolved with a great finished product.

We provided the V&A museum with a 7 year warranty in partnership with Mitsubihi Electric on this installation.
